Action plan for how MCNC project will continue in the future

The Mediterranean Consortium for Nature and Culture team (or MCNC for short) has had their closure meeting in Greece- Athens on March 14 & 15 2018.

MCNC is a collective movement to support and raise awareness on cultural practices that have a positive impact on biodiversity in the Mediterranean. Currently made up of 6 partners, we work with communities to protect biodiversity by understanding, supporting and helping safeguard ways of living that contribute to the conservation of the Mediterranean’s rich natural and cultural heritage and the sustainable use of its resources – celebrating the ingenuity of people across the Basin who protect and manage their lands and waters.

The aim of the meeting was to discuss the overall progress and findings of each partner, in addition to discussing the future of the MCNC.

On March.15, Mr. Gonzalo Oviedo, who has done the external evaluation of the MC project, joined to facilitate the discussion and assist the MCNC in its planning for a continuance.

An action plan was put with the feedback and approval of all team members for how the MCNC will continue in the future.

The meeting was hosted by our partners Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (MedINA) who assured that the workshop was conducted as scheduled while maintaining a true Greek atmosphere. “
