Salim Nabti rescues wounded stork and makes donation

Salim Nabti, a man from the Beshmezzine area in Northern Lebanon, rescued a stork that was injured while migrating over the area, after it had been shot by group of poachers.

Mr. Nabti contacted Gabi Nader, head of the wounded bird rescue department in the Anti-Poaching Unit (APU), who moved immediately to rescue the bird. Mr. Nabti also made the department a donation of one million Lebanese pounds.

The Anti-Poaching Unit (APU) of the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center (MESHC) and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), in partnership with the International Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS), affirms, as always, its readiness to use all resources at its disposal to protect migratory birds in cooperation with all responsible hunters as well as the security forces.
