Water Monitoring Workshop

As a part of the project Restoring Hima Ecosystem functions through promoting sustainable community -based water management systemsin Hima Anjar- Kfar Zabad IBA” Funded by MAVA foundation, SPNL organized a two day training workshop on the sustainable management of water resources in relation to agriculture productivity through water and soil monitoring on August 23-24 at Anjar Water Users Association. The training was provided to SPNL staff and Anjar Water Users Association technical team. The training was provided by Dr. George Zalidis Council member of the Aristotle University in Greece & the Scientific Director of the Balkan Environmental Center “iBEC”. The training highlighted the scientific and monitoring approaches that will be used in Hima Anjar Kfar Zabad in order to improve water management. It dwelled into how can scientific data be translated into management decisions through the use of monitoring indictors . The second day of the training focused on field training for the use of monitoring equipment and data collection tools.
