Rania Masri PhD is a political ecologist, environmental justice activist, and the regional coordinator for the Academic Activist Co-Produced Knowledge for Environmental Justice. Throughout her career, she has worked to bring a holistic, interdisciplinary lens to the environmental sciences, and a recognition that environmental management must encompass a human rights and social justice practice.

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon, which is working to activate and expand its volunteer program, is happy to announce the arrival of a new international volunteer, Rodin Baltaci.

Every year, World Migratory Bird Day presents an annual theme aiming to raise awareness of issues affecting migratory birds and to inspire people and organizations around the world to take measures for their conservation. This year’s theme − “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution!” − will put the spotlight on the negative impact of plastic pollution on migratory birds and their habitats.

The Japanese ambassador to Lebanon Ambassador Matahiro Yamaguchi visited  Hima Ras Al Maten in Mount Lebanon. The field visit started with an introduction at the municipality about the village, then visiting the Hima location explaining its ecological importance as a bottleneck for Migratory Soaring Birds.
