Among these, Saudi Arabia stands out as a global model, integrating protected areas into Vision 2030 as part of its broader environmental transformation. With over 16% of its vast territory designated as nature reserves, the Kingdom is expanding its conservation efforts, ensuring the protection of key habitats such as Harrat Al-Harrah, Al-Wa’l, Al-Tubaiq, the Farasan Islands, and King Salman Royal Reserve, which borders Jordan in the northwest.

These protected areas are critical assets in mitigating climate change, offering numerous benefits:
🌱 Reducing carbon emissions by preserving green spaces and reforestation
🐾 Safeguarding biodiversity by providing safe habitats for endangered species
🌍 Enhancing climate resilience by maintaining natural ecosystems that absorb CO₂
