Our Commons Story, an episodic environmental documentary film series, officially launches this month, inviting global audiences to journey through the Mediterranean’s living landscapes and traditions. Produced by award-winning filmmakers Eda Elif Tibet and İnanç Tekgüç of Karma Motion, in partnership with the Alliance for Mediterranean Nature & Culture (AMNC), the series highlights powerful stories of ecological regeneration rooted in biocultural heritage.
Spanning eight compelling episodes, Our Commons Story follows communities who are protecting and restoring ecosystems through traditional knowledge, ancestral movement, and a deep commitment to land and culture. From remote mountain paths to coastal commons, these stories are acts of resilience—and of hope in action.
🎬 The official trailer is now live, with a new episode set to premiere each month throughout 2025.

🔥 Episode 1: “When I Fled the Smoke, I Fell into the Fire”
This inaugural episode spotlights the mobile pastoralists of Turkiye, whose generational journeys across varied landscapes have preserved ecological balance and cultural identity. Their seasonal migration routes remain crucial to biodiversity, climate resilience, and the continuity of heritage.
