Adopt A Hima: Support 33 Hima Villages

Why support?
SPNL established 33 Himas (protected areas) in villages throughout Lebanon, involving local communities in the management of their environment and natural resources.
These Himas constitute more than 6% of Lebanon’s total area. Supporting a Hima contributes to the protection of nature and traditional knowledge, building resilience against climate change, improving lives of local communities, enhancing rural economy and creating green jobs.
Your support will inspire people to take action for protecting nature and wildlife.

Why donate now?
Your contribution is especially critical in these dire times of social and economic crisis in Lebanon. Some Hima communities in South Lebanon are being forced to leave their villages. They need emergency aid at present, and later support when they return to their villages and Himas. SPNL is channeling part of its budget to help in this endeavor.
