LRI Reforestation Outreach project in Hima Anjar (May – Oct 2012)
Project Goal: To raise awareness of local communities on the importance of the Syrian Serin globally threatened bird & reforestation of its habitat.
Project Objectives: Awareness raising interventions on forest conservation and management in Hima Anjar.
Project Activities:

Development of Educational Displays at the Hima Visitor Center.

Development of Interpretive Trail and Signs.

Bird Migration and Outplanting Festival.
Project Outcomes:Aware, participating and active general public and key stakeholder groups, including children, who make informed choices on sustainable forest use and management.
