SPNL has recently renovated a section in its own office area as added space to be used for conducting workshops and meetings in the future. The added space will be equipped with the basic requirements for conducting workshops and lectures at SPNL. It is noteworthy to mention that this workshop area will host SPNL’s series of workshops targeting hunters and promoting sustainable hunting in Lebanon starting June 2013, which are conducted within the Lebanon national component in the BirdLife “Capacity Development for Flyway Conservation in the Mediterranean” project- funded by the MAVA Foundation.
The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) has released the sixth issue of Al Hima magazine, focusing on the upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi (October 8–15, 2025), where SPNL will join four key sessions. The issue features an exclusive interview with IUCN President Razan Al Mubarak, who emphasizes aligning IUCN’s work with global biodiversity agendas, governance, member responsiveness, multilateral engagement, ethical use of technology, and amplifying diverse voices.
