SPNL and TDH Join Forces to Provide First Aid & Dignity Kits to Over 150 Individuals in Hima Charter Villages

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), in collaboration with Terre des Hommes (TDH), has successfully distributed First Aid and Dignity Kits to over 150 men and women across several Hima Charter villages, reinforcing a shared commitment to human dignity, resilience, and well-being. Registration was conducted at the Luc Hoffmann Hima Center in Kayfoun, Mount Lebanon.

The distribution took place in the villages of Kayfoun, Baisour, Shimlan, Souk Al Ghareb, Kfarmata, Aitet, Ain Al Saideh, and Ain Al Remenneh, where community members received essential hygiene and medical supplies aimed at enhancing personal safety, health, and dignity.

Strengthening Communities Through Partnership

This initiative reflects the core values of the Hima approach, which integrates community engagement, nature conservation, and humanitarian support to create sustainable and empowered local communities. By working together, SPNL and TDH reaffirm their commitment to standing in solidarity with vulnerable populations and ensuring access to essential services.

“The Hima Charter embodies the principles of solidarity, respect, and sustainability. Through this initiative, we continue to support local communities not only in conserving nature but also in ensuring their fundamental well-being,” said Rami Kadro manger of Luc Hoffmann Hima Center .

“Providing First Aid and Dignity Kits is more than just a distribution effort; it is about restoring a sense of dignity, hope, and resilience to those who need it most. We are proud to stand alongside with TDH in this endeavor.” he added.

Looking Ahead: More Collaborations for Community Empowerment

This successful initiative marks just the beginning of continued collaboration between SPNL, TDH, and other partners. Both organizations remain committed to expanding their support efforts across Lebanon, ensuring that communities receive the care and resources they deserve.

We extend our gratitude to all volunteers, community members, and partners who made this initiative possible. Together, we are stronger!

Al Hima Magazine 5th Issue

This edition of Al Hima magazine weaves together inspiring stories of nature conservation and community resilience, highlighting how Lebanon is being stitched back to life—one Hima at a time. The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) continues its mission to preserve the country’s natural heritage by empowering local communities. A cornerstone of this effort is the BioConnect project, funded by the European Union, which has achieved three national firsts: Lebanon’s first natural park (Upper Matn), first geological park (Shouf-Jezzine), and first endowment Hima (Btekhnay).
