5th Newsletter of of the TUNE UP interreg Med project

The 5th project semester(January-June2022)was marked by the completion of the activities in the context of TUNE UP since it is the last semester of the project. TUNE UP partners focused their efforts on capitalization and dissemination/communication activities having testing and transfer ring phases completed in the previous semesters. The lifting of the restriction measuresthatwereimposedduetoCovid19pandemicpermittedtheconductionofthefinal events in person. The material that was produced during this period was oriented toward many of the deliverables of the project according to the application form.

The MedWet Academy

The scope of the MedWet Academy is to build a strong community of wetlands’ managers in the Mediterranean region. The Academy aims to reinforce managers’ capacity to ensure wetland conservation and sustainable use of wetland resources.

Al Hima Magazine 6th Issue

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) has released the sixth issue of Al Hima magazine, focusing on the upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi (October 8–15, 2025), where SPNL will join four key sessions. The issue features an exclusive interview with IUCN President Razan Al Mubarak, who emphasizes aligning IUCN’s work with global biodiversity agendas, governance, member responsiveness, multilateral engagement, ethical use of technology, and amplifying diverse voices.
