Hammana Civil Defense supporting the preservation of Air France Park

As part of the civic engagement, the Lebanese Civil Defense, Hammana Station, has played a major role in bridging the gap between the misconception that communities have about the aim of the Lebanese Civil Defense and their actual role on the ground. As such, Hammana station has highlighted its pivotal presence in being a backbone for the local community of Hammana, within its expertise and knowledge. In its aim to foster more solidarity in these times of crisis, Hammana Station has irrigated the plantation present at Air France Park.

This act showed another aspect that few know about the Civil Defense, as being the first to respond to the forest fire. On the other hand, a major aspect of the Civil Defense’s engagement is to raise awareness by reducing forest fires, and working on preventing forest fires, as well. In addition, this enhances the sense of ownership.
This act has is a good sign of the link SPNL is building within the Himas, by increasing solidarity among the various sectors within a local community. Further to this, SPNL alongside its various local actors are working relentlessly to shed light within these gloomy skies that our beloved country is passing through.
