Hima Farm Heroes: Tamara Al Deeb

Hand by Hand, we can make miracles!!

I launched an initiative that supports people through the corona crisis in quarantine time to encourage them to use their plenty of time in gardens and in nature with their children. I believe that any change starts with the individual within his small family. So any small creative act or practice done by mothers and fathers, may leave a great impact on children.
So from here, I started making videos that encourage mothers to let their children participate with them in gardening practices, planting, composting, recycling, upcycling, waste sorting, drawing, etc.
In risk management, we learn to transform crisis into challenges and opportunities. Even though the situation is tough and we are all in a state of waiting, and monitoring, but spending this time in nature, planting and harvesting may change the scene from challenging to promising.
In this initiative, I depend on live videos, or being a live sample to show how much working in our lands is simple and easy, for I believe that if I want to ask others to change, I must start changing by myself.
So to achieve this purpose through inspiring videos on a daily basis, I may require the following:
1-      Compost & good soil
2-      Seeds (Parsley, coriander, Rocca, Cabbage, Pumpkin, Sunflower, Radish, Watermelon, okra, etc..)
3-      Plants (Thyme, Green tea, Mint, Damask rose, Lavender, Rosemary, Tomato, Zucchini, Potato, Cucumber and Eggplant, etc..)
4-      Fruit trees or seeds (Pear, Persimmon, Apricot, Peach, etc..)
5-      Plowing truck
