SPNL welcomed on Monday 20 May 2013, the director of DiversEarth organization Mrs. Liza Zogib for her short visit to Lebanon. The visit focused on launching and setting solid grounds for the new project that SPNL is working on entitled “Assessing and supporting cultural conservation practices in the Mediterranean” funded by the MAVA Foundation. Moreover, the visit will help DiversEarth Director get around Lebanon along with SPNL team, to get a chance to explore the Himas, nature reserves, and the different cultural assets of Lebanon related to the project.

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon, SPNL, has officially released the seventh issue of Al Hima magazine, reaffirming its commitment to advancing community-led conservation and positioning Lebanon as a regional leader in nature-based solutions.
This latest edition comes at a critical moment for environmental action in Lebanon and the wider region, bringing together scientific insight, traditional knowledge, and global perspectives under the unifying theme: “From Ridge to Coast, One Hima at a Time.”
