SPNL Inspires Future Environmental Leaders at MUBS Career Fair 2025

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) proudly participated in the Modern University for Business and Science (MUBS) Career Fair 2025 held at the Damour Campus, reaffirming its commitment to youth empowerment and environmental education. This dynamic event brought together hundreds of university students and professionals from various sectors, creating a platform for dialogue, networking, and career exploration.

Through its interactive booth and direct engagement with students, SPNL introduced a wide range of opportunities in the field of nature conservation, from community-based ecotourism and biodiversity research to environmental advocacy and policy development. The team emphasized the importance of merging academic knowledge with practical fieldwork, and how students from diverse disciplines — including biology, environmental sciences, communication, and education — can contribute meaningfully to Lebanon’s environmental movement.

ā€œOur participation in the MUBS Career Fair is part of our broader mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world environmental action,ā€ said SPNL MLHC Director Rami Kadro. ā€œWe believe the youth of Lebanon are key players in protecting our natural heritage, and we are here to help them find their role and voice in that journey.ā€

Students also learned about SPNL’s flagship Hima model — a revival of a traditional, community-based approach to land stewardship that empowers local communities to sustainably manage natural resources. Many expressed interest in volunteering, interning, and contributing to SPNL’s conservation efforts through their academic projects and career aspirations.

By connecting directly with young minds, SPNL is not only raising awareness but also building the next generation of environmental leaders equipped to respond to Lebanon’s ecological challenges with creativity, passion, and science-based solutions.
