As part of a growing collaboration to promote gender-responsive community support, Terre des Hommes (TDH) Italy has delivered 75 dignity kits to the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL). These kits will be distributed across selected Hima Charter Villages to support the health, dignity, and well-being of women and girls living in rural and underserved areas.
This initiative highlights the shared vision between TDH and SPNL of integrating environmental conservation with holistic human development, including access to essential hygiene resources for vulnerable populations.
The kits were handed over on April 30, 2025, and will be distributed in collaboration with local partners across multiple villages where SPNL is active through its Hima approach—reviving community-based stewardship of nature while addressing social equity.

“These kits go beyond material value—they affirm the importance of preserving the dignity of women in every community we serve,” said an SPNL representative. “We’re proud to work with TDH to ensure women’s needs are not overlooked in the broader framework of conservation and sustainability.”
This collaboration reaffirms that real conservation is inclusive and people-centered. By uplifting the role and rights of women in Hima communities, SPNL and TDH are fostering a more just and resilient environment for all.
