Lebanese photographer Asaad Saleh joins on the Move exhibition

We are excited to announce the fourth photographer to participate in the “On the move exhibition” Asaad Saleh from Lebanon!

On the Move is an exhibition of professional photography commissioned by the Mediterranean Consortium for Nature and Culture.

It celebrates the lives, challenges and ecological knowledge of transhumant shepherds and nomadic pastoralists in the Mediterranean region. From North Africa to the Middle East, from the Iberian Peninsula to Turkey, Greece and the Balkans, the work of professional photographers from each subregion will be featured in this unique travelling exhibition.

The Mediterranean Consortium for Nature and Culture is a group of reputable Non-Profit organizations (DiversEarth, WWF North Africa, Doga Dernegi, Med-INA, Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon, Trashumancia y Naturaleza) working in the Mediterranean to support ordinary people who make a difference for nature – just by the way they live their lives.

Asaad Saleh was born in 1976 in a small magnificent village in the heart of the mountains of Lebanon where he got the inspiration.

In the world of photography, Assad is known to possess a unique, creative, and innovative touch that is evident in his shooting and photography skills that he has passionately mastered over the years.Asaad’s love and passion for photography datesback to 1990. By 2005, and due to his interest and skillful photographic achievements, Asaadhas turned into an independent professional photographer specializing in portraits, weddings,Nature, landscapes, products, 360 Immerse Images, and the likes.

Assad’s enthusiasm for photography has always been driven by his love for nature and Lebanon’s beautiful and rich landscapes.In addition to the Lebanese National Museum360 project, Asaad has worked on projects forThe Holy Spirit University of Kaslik (USEK),École supérieure des affaires (Beirut), ByblosSud Village, and many more .

Al Hima Magazine 6th Issue

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) has released the sixth issue of Al Hima magazine, focusing on the upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi (October 8–15, 2025), where SPNL will join four key sessions. The issue features an exclusive interview with IUCN President Razan Al Mubarak, who emphasizes aligning IUCN’s work with global biodiversity agendas, governance, member responsiveness, multilateral engagement, ethical use of technology, and amplifying diverse voices.
