News in Photos: Anjar Mountain Trail Run

Occurred in 21 of May, Anjar Mountain Trail Run, was a race of 6 Km in length, it was organised by a team of 8 people under the support of the municipality of Anjar and HMEM, there were also 44 young people helping us during the race. Almost 95% of the race was on the mountainous area of Anjar (newly reforested area) which is part of the HIMA. There were about 200 participants. This was 1 of the 3 races which will be done in Anjar along this year, the coming 2 races will be held in the other angles HIMA Anjar (riverside and agricultural lands).

Al Hima Magazine 6th Issue

The Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL) has released the sixth issue of Al Hima magazine, focusing on the upcoming IUCN World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi (October 8–15, 2025), where SPNL will join four key sessions. The issue features an exclusive interview with IUCN President Razan Al Mubarak, who emphasizes aligning IUCN’s work with global biodiversity agendas, governance, member responsiveness, multilateral engagement, ethical use of technology, and amplifying diverse voices.
