Anti-poaching unit to provide first aid to birds

In order to develop its operations in the context of awareness and fieldwork, and as a result of experiences on the ground, the anti-poaching unit (APU) of the Middle East Sustainable Hunting Center (MESHC) and the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), in collaboration with Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) and with the support of the Global Green Grants Fund (GGF) and the new EV life project, has established a new first aid department to rescue wounded migrating birds that are being targeted by poachers in their migration over Lebanon and taking care of birds that have been injured and are no longer able to fly.

This step is a continuation of the tradition of the sustainable, responsible hunter, who bears the slogan of protecting nature as well as the hobby of hunting.
First aid courses for birds will begin soon, and a course will take place in each region of Lebanon.
For those hunters interested in participating, please send a message to the APU mobile number +96181329199

The anti-poaching project in Lebanon is based on partnership and cooperation between MESHC and SPNL on the one hand, and between SPNL and the MSB – Migratory Soaring Birds Project funded by the Global Environment Fund (GEF) and the project to fight illegal hunting funded by MAVA, on the other hand.
