Capacity Building Workshop in Jordan within the Migratory Soaring Birds Project

A capacity development workshop was organized in Jordan from 18-21 August 2013.The workshop included representatives from BirdLife partners from different countries along the rift valley flyway such as: Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Syria, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Sudan.

The purpose of the workshop is to help project partners apprehend the relevance of capacity development to the Migratory Soaring Birds (MSB) project and to assess their own structure and management schemes, so that they can participate in the second phase of the MSB project. In addition, it aimed to help the organizations achieve the necessary level through training, discussion and resources. The participants shared their concerns and their success stories, and exchanged experiences especially on the issues that need to be worked on. The organizations will work on enhancing their management procedures based on the trigger assessment criteria and based on a set work plan.
